What is the difference between weed barrier fabric and plastic mulch film?
Weed barrier woven fabric is water‑permeable and air‑permeable, allowing rainwater to infiltrate into soil, ideal for multi‑year orchards. Conventional PE mulch film is mostly non‑breathable, mainly used for temperature rise and weed suppression for short‑term crops. Long‑term use may cause waterlogging and root suffocation.
How to choose GSM? Is higher GSM always better?
GSM affects tensile strength and service life, yet higher GSM does not always mean better performance. Choose low‑GSM economy grade for single‑season short‑term planting. For multi‑year open‑air orchards, prioritize high GSM with sufficient UV‑stabilized formulation. For high‑temperature strong‑sunlight environments, proper UV additive dosage is more critical than merely high GSM. Share your application scenario and we will assist you in product selection.
Do you support custom sizes and OEM printing?
